Description
A Doctor of Funk and Motel Room Surgery; Kenneth Muncie grew up in a farming community, which was majority Honky. A population ‘bout as colorful as crayon box consisting only of greys and whites. Yet Muncie was never bothered by the characteristics of his home town. Self-respect, routine, hard work, desire for excellence-ness, Kenneth Muncie learned real young how to meticulously keep on truckin’ like it was nobody’s business. Like so many other youngbloods at an early age, Muncie didn’t know what he wanted to do in life. Assuming he would be a farming-man throughout most of his lifetime; workin’ the field was the only thing he knew how to do. However, when Kenneth’s Earthly father provided him with a certain type of LP, Kenneth Muncie would never be the same. Twelve-years-old at the time, Kenneth’s father surprised him with the Godfather of Soul’s 1968 smash hit “Cold Sweat”. When the notes of this song made it to Muncie’s hearing ability, it was as if his entire workhorse, country-souled-self was struck by a metaphoric, supersonic, ten Cadillac pile-up. Whatever Muncie just experienced, he never wanted to be without it. At that moment, Kenneth Muncie went from Country Honky to Super Funky. Country boy or not, Muncie began to spread the groove. Promoting to himself and others this new thing called funk, and the music of the bruthaman. Hard to believe at the age of twelve anybody would have a grip on their life’s desires, but Muncie was sanctified with the funk, and it was then that he knew what he wanted to do. Not just now, but for the remainder of his newly discovered funky life. As Muncie would talk the talk, spreadin’ the aura of funky music, his fortunes would walk the walk, providing him with a full ride scholarship to the Funk Institute of the Zodiac University. There he would be molded to the funkiest son of a gun ever to represent the Funk Institute as a whole. The Doctor of Funk and Motel Room Surgery; Dr. Kenneth Muncie is a protégé of Huey Funkenstein; Dr. Funkenstein himself, and the top pupil in the history of The Funk Institute of the Zodiac University. Kenneth Muncie was dipped into the most righteous of waters all throughout his stay at the Funk Institute; he is the only student to successfully take part in Funkenstein’s Department of The Advanced Funkateer’s Soulified Funksmanship. Dr. Kenneth Muncie is a natural born Funkadelic and has earned the status of an honorary Elite Soul Brother within the ranks of The Funk Institute.
